If you are looking to refreeze goats milk into treats please follow the proper procedure listed below:

  1. Pop out the frozen goats milk into a bowl, a pet food bowl works great, and place in your refrigerator
  2. Partially thaw the goats milk in the refrigerator only, do not ever thaw on the counter top. Times will depend on the size of container. The following times are best estimates about how long it will roughly take to partially thaw the goats milk pucks. 8 oz = 6 hours , 16 oz = 12 hours, 32 oz = 24 hours, 64 oz = 36 hours
  3. Periodically check your goats milk. You may take a spoon to poke at the puck for it to break apart and mix it up.
  4. As soon as your goats milk is to the point of being able to be stirred, then it is ready to be portioned into molds or smaller containers. Your goats milk should be an icey consistency almost resembling chunky ice cream. Please refer to the photo in the photos section.
  5. YOU DO NOT WANT YOUR MILK TO BE ANYTHING CLOSE TO A MILK CONSISTENCY, FOR EXAMPLE MILK YOU BUY AT THE STORE THAT YOU CAN SIMPLY POUR OUT AS A COMPLETE LQUID. If you have thawed this far you will want to store it in your fridge and use before 10 days. You CAN refreeze this milk, however you will loose a ton of benefits of the goats milk as soon as you refreeze it, making the point of using goats milk pretty useless.
  6. Place the molds or smaller containers into the freezer immediately, and re place the milk you plan on using fresh back in the fridge. You want to refreeze as soon as it hits the icey slush consistency, the longer you wait the more it will completely thaw out.
  7. Use fresh goat milk within 10 days of completely thawing and use frozen goats milk within a year of refreezing.
